Opera Shots is our annual series of casual pop-up concerts throughout the community, held in unexpected places and designed to break down the stereotypes of opera. Opera Shots concerts feature members of the Opera Birmingham Chorus and surprise guest artists presenting an open-mic-style concert of the greatest hits of opera and musical theatre. Tickets are free! Donations are appreciated.

Each Opera Shots concert features a different lineup of music, so we hope you’ll join us for EVERY concert! Families are welcome at all of our Opera Shots concerts, but the Children's Opera Shots on October 8 is programmed specifically to engage children (and kids-at-heart!) December’s Opera Shots will feature a variety of your favorite Christmas carols and holidays songs.

Special Venue Notes:

The Hill Opera Center: This is an outdoor concert, so dress accordingly. JJ's Treats ice cream truck will be on site beginning around 5:30PM, serving up tasty frozen treats! (Cash is recommended to expedite the line.) Bring your own additional refreshments. Lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and coolers are welcome.

Ferus Artisan Ales, Trussville: This is an outdoor concert, so dress accordingly. Table seating is available in the pavilion. Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets for seating closer to the stage. Food and beverages are available for purchase from the venue.

Pepper Place Farmers Market: This is an outdoor concert, so dress accordingly. Food and beverages are available for purchase from the farmer’s market vendors and Pepper Place eateries. CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER:

Cahaba Brewing Company: This concert is indoors. Table seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Food and beverages are available for purchase from the venue.

Second Avenue North in front of The Collins Bar: This is an outdoor concert, so dress accordingly. Lawn chairs and picnic blankets are welcome. Food and beverages are available for purchase from The Collins Bar.
